Day 3: Grace: a manifestation of favor, especially by a superior

According to the dictionary grace is (among other things)
grace manifistation
A manifestation of FAVOR by a SUPERIOR.
What is favor? Dictionary.com says that favor is:
something done or granted out of goodwill, rather than from justice or for remuneration; a kind act:
Who is our superior? Your boss can be seen as your superior, people in leadership can be seen as your superior, but today I’m choosing to focus on God as our Superior.
In other words we can say that:
Grace is a gift that you get without doing something for it from God.
what does the Bible say

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.” James 4:7

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

Eph 1:6 NLT

From these two verses we can KNOW that God gives favor. His grace to those that belong to His Son Jesus Christ.

This favor is eternal life and forgiveness of our sins.

To belong to Jesus Christ is the most important aspect of my life. What a comfort to know that God is with me always and that through His Son I have eternal life. To read my testimony you can go here.

John 316

If you read here and you do not know Jesus as your Savior yet all you need to do is say a prayer and talk to Jesus and ask him to be a part of your life. If you do not want to do it alone go to a Christian friend or church they will surely help you. Otherwise you can contact me.

I feel amazed and thankful that I can go into the new year with the knowledge that Jesus Christ is with me especially since the events surrounding Christmas are still fresh in my memory. How does it make you feel to know that God gives His grace  through His Son?

  1. What a great post – so full of hope and life and yes, grace! We cannot earn it… it is a gift freely given, and yet it cost so much! So lovely… so abundant!
