I am linking up for the first time with the Weekend wind down link party It is really fun and worth a visit. For a full list of posts in this series please click here.
Every few days it will be your turn to write. We will recap on the previous few days’ posts and take a sneak peak into the week to come. Take out your Bible and a note book or whatever you would like to use. If you want to blog about your thoughts please link up to this post by adding your link in the comments section of this post.
So here we go:
- When you hear the word Grace what is the first thought that comes to mind?
- What does James 4:7 mean to you?
- How does it make you feel to know that Jesus is your savior?
- Can you think of someone that you need to show grace to? How will you go about it?
Until tomorrow

Grace…does the church give it freely? Sometimes I wonder.

I cannot speak on behalf of the church but I read in the Bible that Jesus give it to whoever asks. Have a great day!

Hmmm…that last question hit a nerve with me. I need to forgive someone and show a little grace and I really, really don’t want to. But I’ve been brooding all week and it is definitely time to let it go. I cannot refuse someone what Jesus offered me when I least deserved it. Thanks for the reminder.

What a simple format for a bible study. I like it! What does James 4:7 mean to me? Well, when paired with verse 8 it means that when we are living our lives abiding in Christ, fully submitted to Him and living our lives with Him in mind, we receive the grace (abundant gift of love and mercy) we need in order to resist the devil. We are not ever alone, but He is with us. And when it comes to showing grace to others, He gives all that we need, because He is near to us.
Keep working on your study! I’m sure it will be good for many.
