Are you ready for a new you?

I am ready for a new me.

Faithful-Finish-Lines-ShortI’ve been challenged by Sara to join Faithful Finish Lines for the next 7 weeks. It couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been having a problem with my weight since the age of 15 or 16 and after I fell on 13 August 2013 it got even worse. The pain in my left arm caused a lot of pain and made me want to keep still for long periods of time (while I eat something “to make me feel better.”)

I’ve decided the week before Christmas that 2015 will be a year of great change. Thus my excitement when Sara invited me.

What is Faithful Finish Lines all about?

A Faithful Finish Line is a short-term, specific goal that will recreate fitness and mission in our lives. – Sara Borgstede

Each week will have a different theme and a memory Bible verse. For the first week we need to focus on movement and write down what we eat.

I will let you know how it goes. I’m not one for New Years Resolutions that is why I chose one word for the year: Grace and Faithful Finish Lines is all about that.

Plan a Fitness Goal. Reach It. Allow God to Recreate You. -Sara Borgstede

How are you staying fit?

  2. As of today I’ve started waking up and walking 3 miles at 545am. NOT easy for this out of shape girl. I’m also trying to minimize my fast food consumption with meal planning and preparation.

Good luck to you as you press on to your finish lines! Goals with grace! We’ve got this!

  3. I’m so excited you are joining us on this round of FFL. I loved being part of the Beta group. And was so excited on Saturday when I met my goal of running a 10K. Can’t wait to read about your journey.

  4. Awesome!!! So proud of you! I am back to consistent intentional workouts and better eating myself! It sounds so cliche – but honestly it’s so inspiring this time of year! SparkPeople.com is a great encouraging free community online that helps you track your food and workouts! I used it in 2008 and it really helped me to stick with it and see results! In fact, I have been hit and miss there for a long time but it just may be something I need to get back to as well! Good luck and Happy New Year!
